Q1. What is Extended Download Service?
Extended Download Service (EDS) is a software backup service that we offer to protect you from losing your investment. We keep a backup copy of all of your purchased software and license keys on our servers for the period of up to seven (7) years from the date of purchase. This option may not be available for all forms.
Q2. Why do I need Extended Download Service?
Nearly 1 out of every 3 people have lost their files due to an event outside of their control [1]. Because we want to help protect you from these common, unpredictable events, we offer Extended Download Service as a type of inexpensive "insurance policy" again such events occurring. In the event of a catastrophic computer disaster, where you lose all software and data, simply contact our friendly support staff.
Q3. I still don't understand why I need it - can you explain more?
Extended Download Service is your "digital safety net" for those common, unexpected occurrences - like your hard drive crashing, a virus or spyware infection, or any other unexpected data loss situation... even an upgrade to a new PC.
Q4. Why don't you offer backup CDs?
You can think of Extended Download Service like the "backup CD" of the Internet age. Because most software purchased today (including all software titles sold by Solvusoft) do not include a CD copy with purchase, we provide the Extended Download Service as the alternative. We do not include the option of a backup CD because of the high cost of manufacturing and shipping charges. The cost of a physical backup CD, including shipping and handling, would exceed $35 USD, which is far more expensive and inconvenient. With EDS, you don't need to worrying losing a backup CD, and can access your download from any computer, anywhere in the world, instantly.
Q6. What Extended Download Services do you provide and what is the cost?
Exteded Download Service (EDS) software backup service is available for 1,3 and 7 years after time of purchase.
Q5. How do I know if I purchased Extended Download Service?
The option to purchase the Extended Download Service is located at the bottom of the form description page as an optional option you can purchase before checking out, you are not required to purchase, it is an option to protect your investment. Once you finalize your order, you will receive the invoice by e-mail and the Extended Download Service charge will appear in the invoice. If you are still unsure, please contact our friendly support staff and they will gladly assist you.
Q6. How do I access my Extended Download Service account?
You can access your Extended Download Service anytime, and anywhere, by visiting the help desk link below and requesting a new download link:
A new link to download your purchased form(s) will be provided within 12-24 hours.
